MANGOSTEEN'S ACTIVITIES - A QUICK EXPLANATION

What Do We Do?

Set up conferences, meetings and all types of gatherings for scientists from the developed world in developing countries.  Provide all essential information to make each trip a successful one.

WHAT WE DO

Who  For?

Professionals in the physical, chemical and biological sciences and medically related fields.  (But other fields too, please let us know your interests.)

Specifically...

All Ph.D. level scientists, researchers and clinicians.
Students working towards a higher degree, or about to start one.
|Anyone serious about science, gainfully employed and actively engaged in scientific pursuits.

Why?

Talking is universal, it doesn't  require a lot of high tech equipment.  Scientific meetings might just as well take place in select sites across the developing world as in the cities of North America, Europe or Japan.  These regions offer a variety of fascinating destinations, venues and an entirely different perspective.  Scientists and students in the developing world greatly value the chance to interact with colleagues from the developed world.

Where To?

Any politically stable, safe developing world nation - in Africa, Asia, Latin America , and certain Pacific Islands.  (Where would you like to go?)

What Size?
Not too big, so as not to become ungainly impersonal affairs.  Small enough to meet everyone properly, large enough to contain strong science, and a variety of expertise and interests.

How Long is a Meeting?
That's 100% flexible.  But for a small conference, perhaps a week is ideal to do justice to both the science of the meeting and the experience of the trip.  For other gatherings or company excursions, take as long or short as you like.

What Will It Cost?
Not a lot.  Including the plane ticket, the total costs are the same or less than the price of a trip within the developed world.  The longer your stay, the cheaper each subsequent day becomes.
