Rwanda
Quality of Life Centre (RWQOL), a very young organization in the country
and the region, was created on April 1, 2004.
The
idea came from Dr Alex Hakuzimana, who was then in his medical
internship at the University Teaching Hospital of Kigali, Rwanda.
With
support and devoted understanding of his class colleagues and other
interested in and aware of health promotion of vulnerable people, the
team did not hesitate to start up the project.
With
no delay, the young doctors got at once into act. Being aware of the
trend society is facing with regard to their health care in particular
and their development in genera, with their well known historical
devotion and convinced will, decided to create the organization.
Working in network with organizations, institutions, and individuals
with tremendous expertise in health-related quality of life and
patient-reported outcomes, Rwanda Quality of Life Centre has the mission
of promoting health and quality of life in the region.
The
project needs support of its kind to implement its activities and
achieve its goals
All
willing donors and grant-makers are welcome to support the project that
is somehow hampered owing to financial limits.
